Attorneys, make sure you and your experts know that there are new requirements for expert designation under TRCP 195 for cases filed on or after 1/1/2021. Here are the highlights and you can click here for the full pdf text.
You now need the following for your expert designation:
1. Expert’s documents, models, etc.
2. Expert’s resume and bibliography
3. Expert’s qualifications including all publications authored in the previous 10 years.
4. List of all other cases during the previous 4 years in which the expert testified as an expert at trial or by deposition.
5. A statement of compensation to be paid for the expert’s study and testimony in the case.
